I watched the Bjarke Ingalls 3 warp speed architecture tales on Ted Talks.
It's amazing the work he is doing in Denmark. The building look like nature, very eco friendly, use solar energy and very contempory. He has also done work in China. He makes sure that buildings looking down on other buildings still have a fantastic views too. It was very interesting to see the work that he's doing.

I also watched the Natasha Tsakes Theater on Ted Talks. She created Upwake from her own imagination. It was very humorous, had beauty and imagination. It was all about the relationship between Technology and the theater. It was very interesting, different. I liked the previous one better on Architecture.

I like Cary Fowler: "One seed at a time, protecting the future of food". It is interesting to think about diversity leading to loss, but it makes sense. It is also sad to imagine that areas that are already poor will be the ones suffering more with the climatological changes in the future and producing even less food.
I also liked Michael Pritchard's: "Water filter turns filthy water drinkable" for challenging us to stop to take drinkable water for granted.
I can use both in my 7th grade classes. It would be easy to understand global issues as water usage and shortage and arable land/biodiversity with it.

I watched the video on the four effects that sound can have on people and the video on optical illusions. They were both quite interesting, particulary the sound talk. The speaker gave very convincing evidence of the extent of power that sound has. I never realized how teachers could utilize sound to create such a positive learning environment, particularly with music or sounds from nature. The video on optical illusions was also very interesting; it was amazing to see how the context of colors can completely change the way we see them.
